If you left the scheme on or before 31 March 2008, the introduction of this Scheme will have had no effect on your deferred benefits. However, your pension will be reduced for early payment – please see the Early retirement factors(PDF), calculated by The Government Actuary Department (GAD). If you left the LGPS with deferred benefits on or before 31 March 2008, you may be able to receive your LGPS benefits voluntarily from as early as age 55.
