Our total exposure to Russian Investments is minimal at less than 1%. Even so, in light of the terrible events we have witnessed and the economic sanctions imposed internationally, as a collective we have decided to divest from these holdings as soon as is practically possible. Given the circumstances we do not believe that engagement with these companies presents a viable option. Cllr Clive Lloyd For and behalf of the Wales Pension Partnership and the LGPS in Wales

Pensions Regulator warns of fraudsters cold calling https://www.cardiffandvalepensionfund.org.uk/2019/02/cold-calling/ Mon, 11 Feb 2019 09:46:37 +0000 http://pensions.cardiffcouncilwebteam.co.uk/?p=1125 The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has warned of fraudsters who may be trying to steal the savings of workers by falsely claiming to be calling from The Pensions Regulator. The TPR has received reports of pension holders being cold-called by individuals who have posed as TPR staff offering the workers a ‘free pension review’. TPR have confirmed that this is a common warning sign of a scam as TPR never cold-calls individuals about their pensions. TPR has reported the cases to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) for investigation and will also report any future cases. TPR has advised pension holders that if they are cold-called about their pension, or believe they could be the victim of pension fraud, to contact Action Fraud on 0300 1232040.
