The Government introduced Auto Enrolment in October 2012.
Under the Auto Enrolment law all Employers must offer eligible employees with some form of pension benefit.
The Government also introduced a statutory default scheme known as the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) – to support the Auto Enrolment process.
The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) needs to comply with the Auto Enrolment regulations.
Please be aware of your staging date, and when your Re-Enrolment date will be – this is an Employer’s legal requirement.
